EnzyMed is a leading natural non-toxic, enzyme-based pre-soak and cleaner for surgical instruments that is a bacteria-free formula designed to dissolve and remove protein and organic matter such as blood, mucous, feces and albumin. It is not a single or dual enzyme; it is a multi-enzyme formula with a high percentage of actives (see Winter Shipping Advisory below) including protease, lipase, amylase, and cellulase. It serves as a pre-soak for manual decontamination, washes and ultrasonics. Its neutral pH and low-foam formula ensures it's safe to use on all medical instruments, including fibre optics, rubber, plastic, stainless steel and any other surface that is not harmed by water.

Winter Shipping Advisory

Why EnzMed Can’t Be Frozen
EnzMed’s cleaning power comes from active enzymes. When the product freezes, ice crystals damage these enzymes, and they can’t return to their working shape after thawing. Once this happens, the cleaner loses its effectiveness. Always store EnzMed at room temperature to keep it performing properly.

For this reason, we may not be able to fulfill this item during the winter months. Once freezing temperatures are upon us, we will need to temporarily stop making sales of this item.

If you require a similar solution during colder periods, our tablets remain available year-round and are unaffected by freezing. Switching to tablets in winter is a valid option depending on your needs.

EnzyMed can't be frozen and our shippers do not offer heated options, because of this, liquid EnzyMed is unavailable in the colder months.
